Happy August Y’all!,
This month’s theme is LIGHT, the original light. When we are constantly looking outward for validation – at results, our surrounds, our jobs, etc. – we easily forget our innately wonderful we truly are. August’s practices will be dedicated to looking inward to remind ourselves of our own luminosity and brilliance.
This card represents our potential and innate purity as humans. How can we channel the energies of the sun, our vitality, and generosity to proceed on our life’s journey? I feel that this month really gets us into the essence of what kundalini yoga is and does. In the practice our goal is to awaken to our full awareness. The invitation is to use the practice to feed our own inner light that guides us forward.
Through the use of navel-centered breathing we are able to bring more prana, more life force, into the system to energize our light and clear the fog. We continue to give our work meaning through the activation of our heart center. Why do we practice? What are we feeding when we come to the mat? And finally we project through the third eye into infinity giving our light a direction to shine and manifest.
May all you do become prosperous and bountiful!

This Month’s Meditation: “I am, I am,” Meditation
The meditations for this month will be using a lot of positive affirmations. For this meditation we will be chanting “I am, I am.” The first time we chant “I am” we put the emphasis on the “I” this acknowledges our individual existence. We are, we exist, we take up space. The second time we chant “I am” we emphasize “am” this acknowledges our infinite, eternal selves. We continue to chant “I am, I am” for 11 to 31 minutes blending our infinite and finite selves reminding us that we exist, our existence is beyond what we have or how we feel. We have right to exist and a spark to tend.
Autumnal Equinox 2021: Find Balance and Grace
September 22, 2021 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm PST *note the time change*
Let’s come together online to honor the autumnal equinox. In the spirit of ritual let us celebrate this celestial event through the practice of movement, breath, and meditation.
Autumn is a time of shedding, harvesting, and giving thanks for all we have gathered this year. As we enter the gateway of the equinox, night and day are of equal length inspiring us to find balance in ourselves. Let’s come together to tap into the energies around us, set ourselves up to release old leaves, and give thanks for the journey of our year so far.
This will be a two hour kundalini yoga based experience. Come to your mat our cushion to tap into the healing energies of Mother Earth.
All levels are welcome! Come join a group of individuals finding the practice in their bodies, their own way. If you would like to inquire about alternate forms of payment, sliding scale yoga or any other concerns please email me freely.
