Laya Yoga Meditation

Kundalini Yoga – Meditation – Wellness

Happy End of July and the close of our theme of celebration. There are few meditation as close to my heart as this weeks. This meditation helped me find my navel center, helped me become a yoga teacher, and woke me up to the energy cycling within and around me.

The Laya Yoga meditation is a mantra practice, with deep navel work, and requires some level of concentration and visualization. By my experience, though, once you’re there these pieces run themselves like the gears of a clock. As we chant we will be asked to visualize our own energy, our kundalini energy, our soul energy, rising up though the spine. The energy does this by cycling around the spine 3.5 times beginning in the seat of the pelvis and ending at the third eye point. When we chant the ends of the words in the mantra we forcefully engage the navel dramatically raising the pitch of our voice. This navel action assists the energy on its accent through the body. When we get to the end to chant “hay guru” we offer the energy through the crown of the head and into infinity while relaxing the belly.

This meditation will circulate your energy, align you from within and can make you radiant and energized.
